Phil Romano

PHIL ROMANO… from flight pilot, to model, to pornstar, to one of the world’s most sought after and liked DJs on the Int’l Gay Circuit scene. Perhaps no other DJ in the last few years has had as meteoric a rise as this Roman who hails from Barcelona, and rightly so. His playful sexiness is infectious and shines through his sets one-hundred percent.  He is not shy, to say the least. From the get-go, Phil’s sets are infused with a style best described as Iberamerican- incorporating the best elements of Iberian /Spanish house, and American tribal progressive.

Born in Rome 1979, Phil studied to be a pilot, then emigrated to Australia, the US,  and back to Italy where his first residencies were Billy Club Milan and Mucassassina Rome. Within a few short years, Phil had proved to the European  & Int’l Circuit crowds that he is a serious DJ who knows how to keep a crowd on its toes, always begging for more. He soon began racking up residencies at all of Europe’s most recognized parties: Brussell’s La Demance, Barcelona’s Matinee  & Circuit Festival  , London & Berlin Hustlaball,  and Moscow’s Propoganda,  and his own PUSHCLUB in Rome, to name but a  few.  It wasn’t long before he became a  HOUSE- hold name in Brazil, from Sao Paulo’s The Week  to Rio’s Maxima, and every city in between.

Starting in 2009, he burst onto the North American scene, as a regular guest DJ at Montreal’s Parking, Toronto’s FLY, NYC’s Club 57, DC’s Town, Atlanta’s Jungle, and Mexico City’s Karmabeat. And while it took a long time to get him back to his second home of Australia, the 2011 Mardi Gras Festivities saw Phil make his splash  Aussie debut at the Sydney’s famed Homesexual. The same summer saw him headlining NYC’s Pride event Bondi Beach ,  on Governer’s Island; and Provincetown’s beloved Summercamp Sunset Boat Cruise.
