It takes over 450 volunteers filling more than 700 shifts during a week in March to produce Winter Party Festival -- and a dedicated team of about 50 talented individuals working year-round to plan this spectacular celebration. As we begin building toward WPF 2014, we are looking for some fun-loving, dedicated and talented people to join our team. Although we are based in Miami Beach, you can contribute from just about anywhere around the world. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact our Volunteer Relations Division at [email protected].
Our committee is divided into eight major divisions, and your participation doesn't have to be limited to only one!
Communications: Promoting Winter Party Festival involves a broad spectrum of marketing activities. Our Communication team needs help in several areas, including copywriting, social media and advertising research.
Partnerships: Winter Party is an important fundraising event for the Task Force and for Miami-Dade organizations serving the LGBT community. The Partnerships team needs hard-working individuals to enlist support from sponsors, advertisers and more. Team members are eligible for commissions on certain cash sponsorships.
Volunteer Relations: The Volunteer Relations team is responsible for ensuring we have the strongest volunteer force of any festival. Team members conduct outreach events, manage the volunteer database and train the 450 volunteers we need for the week of Winter Party.
Cultural Programming: The Cultural Programming team produces the welcome reception, the VIP Cocktail Reception and our shopping event on Lincoln Road.
Women’s Programming: This Women's Programming team produces our line-up of women’s events, including an art exhibit and two dance events.
Dance Programming: This Dance Programming team produces all of our dance events, including the Beach Party, the Under One Sun Pool Party, and our nighttime dance events.
Finance: The Finance team is all about money management. We need reliable people to manage our retail outlets, sell tickets in the Welcome Center and manage door sales at our events.
Production: The Production team makes sure everything runs as planned during the week of the Festival. Team members manage the load-in and load-out, staff the production office, coordinate signage, handle supply and equipment deliveries and more.
