The 20th Edition of Winter Party continues to get hotter today at the famous (and for some, infamous) Winter Party Festival Beach Party! As Director of Communications, I have had a front row seat this year of how hard we work to make this event epic.

Back in 2007, when I was only 22, I was invited by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to cover Winter Party Festival and report the experience throughout the Brazilian media. It was the first time I attended a huge international festival, and I was blown away with the structure, organization, energy, and the dynamic among the volunteers. It really inspired me!

Proposing to your husband is a daunting experience.  It has to be sweet, romantic, unexpected, clever, and fail-proof.  And when you’re an event producer, it has to be somewhat of a production!

We finally found a minute to sit down with the globe trotting DJ and promoter Brett Henrichsen in between his various DJ gigs on both sides of the Atlantic and chat about his involvement in White Party 20 as well as introducing WE Party to the USA.

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is saddened to learn of the unexpected passing of Tim Ribar over the weekend.  Tim was a long-time volunteer for both Winter Party Festival and the Miami Recognition Dinner and his generous contributions to those events will be deeply missed. 

Few details are known about Tim’s passing at this time, or about service arrangements, but we will share this information once it becomes available.

As Director of Communications for Winter Party Festival 2013 I would like to introduce myself and well, be a little social about it. My name is Scott Bader and I am one of the many people who have been planning WPF'13 since WPF'12 ended. Task Force Staff, Volunteers and Committee Members have been hard at work preparing to take this festival to the next level.
