The Chirino Sisters (Miami, FL)

Pa’ella – Friday, March 2

The Chirino Sisters are a legacy of music. The name alone is synonymous with the famous “Miami Sound”. These talented women are daughters of the world renowned Salsa singer/bandleader and Grammy winner Willy Chirino and grew up surrounded by the driving beats and soulful rhythms of Afro-Caribbean grooves and swinging Brazilian samba and Bossa Nova with a good measure of American R&B, Jazz, Pop, and Rock n’ Roll. Everything from Celia Cruz to Chicago, the Beatles to Beny More was constantly played in their house and these ladies soon learned that music was the force that moved their lives.

Over the years, these sisters each developed a unique and definitive style. They went from harmonizing in the back seat of the car on family road trips to singing and playing behind some of the most famous names in Latin music - people such as Gloria Estefan, Mark Anthony, and Celia Cruz to name a few. Now they have come together to bring South Florida a taste of what they each know best. They have united their individual styles and put together a dynamic stage show that is sure to excite and ignite anyone to get up and dance. Their beautiful, soulful and rhythmic voices combine into moving harmonies and soon it becomes evident that a lifetime full of music is behind every note. Their band consists of the best of the best in Latin music today. They combine their own popular musical hits with other well known Latin and American favorites to create a repertoire that is sure to please everyone. Put all these together and you have an experience that will not soon be forgotten.

Mônica da Silva (Belém, Brazil & Miami, FL)

Jazz Brunch – Sunday, March 4

Best known for her multilingual music productions that span five languages – English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and French, you may have already heard some of Mônica’s music and not even realized it.  Many of her songs have been featured on national and international commercials , and prime time shows on MTV, CBS, NBC, HGTV, just to list a few.

Mônica grew up between the USA and Belém, Brazil, a city on the Amazon river. Experiencing life in two very different places helped to shape Mônica’s original sound, which is a blend of Bossa Nova, World Music and Indie Pop.

Miami’s Acontece Magazine, recently called Mônica’s music the “future of Bossa Nova with the face of youth today”.

Run Sevim Run (Amman, Jordon & Miami, FL)

ArtScape – Thursday, March 1

Since her arrival to the Miami scene from Amman, Jordan, Sevim has blended her influences of electro, new wave, rock, baile funk, dubstep, disco and glam to create the explicit sound described by the new Times as "Metal Disco."

She shows no signs of slowing down as she has taken her inimitable thud to New York City's infamous Webster Hall all the way to Texas' legendary SMG Festivals and then crossing borders to Mexico's subversive glam parties.

Whether it's performing among Miami's other favorite DJS or big names in entertainment, she has rebelliously proven herself to be a trendsetter and indispensable member of the nightlife industry. Sevim states, "I work hard to assure that the relation between my crowd, music, and self are comparable to a religious experience"

Sevim has also shared the stage with the biggest and hottest emergent talents: Andy Rourke of The Smiths, Stev Aoki, MSTRKRFT, Bass Nectar, Hollywood Holt, Discotech, Inflagranti, Your Dirty Habit, Le Castelvania, Borgore, Jason Tyler, Teen Wolf, Afrobeta, The Cool Kids, Million $ Mano, Designer Drugs, Italians Do It Better, Midnight Conspiracy, Classixx, Keys N Krates, Guns N Bombs, He Say She Say, Alex English and more.

DJ GiGi (Washington, DC & Miami, Fl)

Pa'ella - Friday, March 2

DJ GiGi

Venezuela born, Geraldine (DJ GiGi, formally known as DJ G Spot) mixed at some of the hottest clubs in Washington, DC. Inspired by many talented DJs in the Nation's capital, DJ GiGi started off mixing international music in 2006 until she found her soul and passion in House and Dance music. GiGi played at popular clubs like Current, Josephine, Cafe Citron, Eden and Apex. Her popularity increased as she showed her natural ability to keep crowds enthralled and unable to leave the dance floor. Along with playing at the hottest spots in Washington, DC, she was also featured every Friday on DC United's 87.7FM Radio Station's "Party Mix". This led to the opportunity for her to DJ live at RFK Stadium,, where the DC United soccer team played. In 2011, GiGi made her Miami debut at Aqua Girl, the biggest woman's fundraiser in the nation. GiGi's ability to transition flawlessly through different genres of music drew attention and she was selected to spin at a Toronto's Pride event. She now makes Miami her home but continues to travel back to DC. GiGi believes that no matter what language you speak, we all understand the language of music and that helps to inspire her and the music she mixes.
